Thankgiving Party Game Design Idea

So, I'm planning to to go my Aunt and Uncle's house for Thanksgiving and I want to do something memorable. I don't want to bring food because I'm sick and don't want to share my germs. Anyway, how about planning a game, a "What am I thankful for game." You place a jar in the middle of the table and everyone puts their thoughts of thanks inside before dinner. Then in the middle of dinner, or after dinner if you don't watch football, you past the jar around and everyone takes a random note out of the jar and reads it. Then everyone has to guess you wrote it or the person reading it has to guess. Its a good way to get to know the personality and creativity of your family and guests.

Design it Right: I'm thinking cut out paper leafs or turkeys for people to write on. And place them, fanned out, circling under a jar. Make more than you need for surprise guests but put out only what you need out so you know when everyone has filled one out. There is a ribbon or bow around the neck of the jar that lists the instructions or rules (if you get that far into it ).

I'm thinking this would be great to make secret announcements like "I'm thankful for the bun in the oven" to announce a baby in the family. You know things like that. Or you can get funny ones like "I'm is thankful for the the new fax machine at work". Or who is thankful their husband who finally used their odor eater inserts. Ha!
